After all the hard work I put into creating it, I was more than a little dissatisfied with the company formerly hosting my E-Card site. I recently discovered that they hosted the E-Cards in a file rather than on their own domain which meant that I couldn’t admit the site to show up in Google searches and therefore it wouldn’t fulfill it’s potential as a Christian E Card site.
However! I have just purchased a domain specifically for this purpose. I’ve named it Credo Christian E Cards. Com (Credo is latin for ‘I believe’) and it is now the official E Card site for sending my Scripture Pictures, like those pictured below.
As it was, the other site didn’t get a lot of use and wasn’t open to anyone who wasn’t in my acquaintence or personally invited to use it, which meant it basically wasn’t worth paying for as it didn’t get the exposure it needed to warrant the expense of it.
But the new site is very exciting. It’s been 2 days of headaches, but a nice chap named Dan has tirelessly endeavoured to set me on the right path with it everytime I got stuck and I’m pleased to say that my new site is now up and running. (Good customer service is so rare these days thatI just had to give my helper a shout out!)
The great thing about these E-Cards is that they get sent directly to the recipients email inbox so there’s no loggin’ in or clicking links (unless the recipient wants to send a card to someone – then they can just click the image in their email to get taken to my E card site). I’m really chuffed about it, but the most important thing is that it’s user friendly.
That’s where you come in. I’d really like to know if it runs okay for you, so how about road testing it and letting me know what you think about it, in the combox?
Credo E -Cards are specifically Christian, in fact the blurb that Google will come up with about the site may be something like this:
Send a free Christian e-greeting card to encourage a friend, or let a family member know that you are thinking about them. All images contain passages of Scripture, inspirational messages or uplifting quotes to create Christian E-Card greetings for every occassion.
Have fun!
As an aside: With regard to the BAD post….
It sounds pathetic because it is pathetic, but when I went to bed last night I actually couldn’t sleep. Part of me was itching to come back downstairs and delete the whole blog, and then I prayed about it and eventually settled. I’m feeling drawn to new things and there are a lot of changes happening in my personal life, some of them making life more difficult, most of them in fact. The blog, like me, is changing and I suppose it reflects these changes, particularly the confusion I’m experiencing! Despite all this, I hope you’ll still journey along with me, even if I don’t know where I’m going…
p.s. I will respond to comments on the Bad post, but haven’t had chance with getting the E card site up and running!
