On Day Retreat

Our diocesan annual retreat for members of the Union of Catholic Mothers, is at Colwich Abbey today- it’s 7.30am and I’d better get a move on instead of writing this really, but you know how it is with this bloggin’ thang!

Here’s the post I wrote last year about the Colwich retreat, it has a couple of images, I hope to take more photos today, but it depends on what free time we have and whether it will be appropriate to do so.

I really need this ‘time-out’, I’ve been particularly short tempered and impatient lately and my children have suffered the brunt of it, whether they have relentlessly haranged me into it or not has little to do with it. I am the adult, I am the adult, I am the adult. Also, I’ve not been doing well at placing things in the care of the Lord, but rather, have been anxious about my finances, my future and a number of other things. Lord, increase my trust in you.

My daughter is reluctantly joining me on retreat, but I hope she get’s something out of it.

Tell you what, how about you send up a few prayers for me and mine, and I promise that I will send up a few prayers for you, your loved ones and for your intentions while I’m on retreat (lot’s of time for prayer y’know!)?
