“Archbishop of Canterbury urges re-think on abortion”

“Something has happened to our assumptions about the life of the unborn child.”

Sounds like he’s saying something, but he’s not really saying anything is he? I don’t think so, not really.    Thank God the Catholic Church speaks definitively on such matters. You either like what the Church says or you don’t, you live it or you lose it, but at least she speaks.

you make a great point that the RC is quite clear on this matter…but on other matters…

Yes, it really isn’t saying anything, is it? I think he’s attempting to play as a public ‘conscience’, but it leaves him speaking out of both sides of his mouth at the same time.

    Lord, have mercy.

How is he overall Deb? Is he on the conservative side?

  4. ukok says:

Esther, I think of him as Mr. Wishy-Washy, and I can’t respect anyone who can’t formulate an opinon on anything , but rather sits on the fence for fear of alienating people.

I just found a great post on Dave Armstrongs blog which actually uses the term wishy-washy, which is interesting as that’s how I refer to R. Williams too 🙂
