Hope you’ve all had a good and holy Christmas, and I must say, that despite hearing from friends, family and shop assistants that Christmas was done with on the 25th December, it ain’t over yet….Christmas is a season and not a day! So therefore, I hope that you are still enjoying Christmas!
We’re having a lovely Christmas here, we stayed with my parents for a couple of days and Mum and I cooked together and the kids had a wonderful time being around their grandparents. It was all a bit mad as Bella had to go to the vets to have her stitches out and various things cropped up at the last minute, but on the whole it was reasonably quiet. (The histology report shosw that Bella had a tumour, which is a mixed cell tumour. Reoccurence is probable and any subsequent lumps may be malignant and not benign like this one, but we have her with us for now and that is great!)
The sad thing has been that Dad has been unwell over Christmas. He has C.O.P.D, asbestosis and chronic asthma and on top of that he now has a terrible chest infection which he refused to let us call the doctor out for. The day after Boxing Day he did let me help him to get to the doctors, after 3 nights with no sleep and feeling really weak with having no apetite to eat, he started nodding off in the waiting room when we got there, only for this lousy wheezy cough to wake him up.
He’s now on a high dose of steroids and antibiotics and inhalers and he has had a little more sleep and something to eat, but he thinks he’s bothersome, which he isn’t, and he never complains. Prayers would be appreciated for his recovery from this bout of nasty infection, prayers too would also be especially appreciated at this time for:
- Ali, a friend who has been diagnosed with T.B
- Bishop David who is in hospital with pneumonia
- Two of my friends who have cancer
Would write more but I have to get a dinner in the oven! Thanks in advance for your prayers and thanks too for your recent comments, hopefully life will soon be quiet enough for me to respond to them(and to visit blogs)!
