White Rain

The children’s school/college is closed today due to ‘adverse weather conditions’…and the news and weather reports would suggest that the rest of England seems to have ground to a halt once again too!

The children are overjoyed that they can stay home today, Wonderboy sold his PS3 and PS3 games yesterday, and bought an XBox and some games with the money, so he is well chuffed to have a day at home to play on it today.  Wondergirl jumped up and down wth glee this morning when she had an early morning text from a friend saying ‘no college today – closed due to snow!’  Methinks it would be a good day for her to sort that pig hole of a bedroom out. I despair, really i do, at how disgusting such a beautiful and talented young woman can be. Sigh.

The dog wasn’t impressed with the snow this morning…she took about 4 tentative steps out in the fluffy stuff before scurrying back in hastily and is now snuggled up beside me as i write this.

Methinks i should make her go out again and take a photo of her in the snow for your viewing pleasure…(she needs to go out to do her ‘stuff’ anyway, honest!)

Well, it wasn’t all bad….when she came in she got to snuggle up again!

Is it just me or does it look like she is giving me the evil eye. LOL!

Well, wherever you are and whatever you are doing, please stay safe, especially if you have to travel in these poor weather conditions.

Hugs to all!

p.s. Unfortunatley due to foul weather, Dad still can’t get to the doctors and his test results won’t be given over the phone.  He will try to get there next week but is of course, concerned about the results and the added waiting time doesn’t make it any easier. Your continued prayers for him would be very much appreciated.

p.p. s The title of the post is a reference to the film 10,000 BC which i watched with the kids the other night! Have you seen it? What did you think?

Well, things here are finally recovering well after the ice/snow storm we had here last week. People finally have their electricity on. There are still many people in Kentucky that do not have electricity.

Will continue to pray for your Dad. Hope all is well…

  2. Keeping both you and your dad in prayer!
A few weeks ago, there was a hint of snow here in South Carolina and everything closed. I am talking about half a centimeter or less of snow that was gone by 10.30 am, but schools, daycare centers and universities all clossed as if it was some kind of national disaster.

Hope the children enjoy the day off!

Cathy, you have had it so much worse than my neighbourhood, we only had a few inches of snow and we didn’t lose our electricity. We Brits just don’t know how to deal with white rain at all!

Eva, oh good, so we Brits aren’t the only wimps!

Shell, Many thanks for your continued support and encouragement via email, and especially of course, for your prayers. God Bless you!

Mimi, mum and I were talking of you only the other day, mum was saying how much she enjoys reading your blog! Thanks so much for your prayers!
